Staff
Bloomington Video Productions is locally owned and operated by Carlos Colón and Luis Hernández. The partnership brings together the professional skills of instructional technologists, media producers, and computer scientists as well as other talented independent producers and creative artists.
Carlos Colón, Ed.D.
President |
Carlos Colón has a doctoral degree in Instructional Systems Technology from Indiana University, over 9 years of college-level teaching experience, and a solid background in communication technologies. He currently works for the Indiana University Instructional Support Services organization as a Manager of Technology Services. Carlos has taught courses in graphics design, photography, audio, radio, video, and multi-media production. He has also worked as a part-time radio producer for several radio stations. Since 1993, he has worked as a web designer/developer for various IU departments and Bloomington-based organizations. Carlos likes electronic music production, audio, radio, photography, and video production.

Luis Hernández

Luis Hernández is a Research Associate with the Speech Research Laboratory at Indiana University. With more than 15 years working in this capacity, he is involved in the software and hardware development of real-time systems. He also trains students utilize extensive hardware and software for real-time behavioral experiments on both PCs and Macintosh computers using acoustic and audiovisual stimulus materials. With his database expertise and love for music, Mr. Hernández co-authored “Scores and Recordings at the Indiana University Latin American Music Center” published by IU Press. His interests include music, embedded systems, Macintoshes, independent films, solar and wind renewable energy, and cooking.

Gabriel Lantz
Independent Producer

Gabriel is an Independent media producer currently working with the ILF project at the School of Education here at Indiana University. He is a graduate of Full Sail, an advanced multimedia college located in Orlando Florida, with a degree in Film & Video Production. He currently just returned from working with the EEMP, a project in Beijing China, doing documentary style films for TV. Gabriel has a background in Audio Engineering, Musicianship, Computers and Technology. Over the last couple years Gabe has worked on several films, music CD projects, environmental efforts and continues his involvement in the humanitarian efforts of the world. |
